On Monday, David Gallimore received a letter (attached) from Refresh Food Bank in Dudley. Tomorrow (11/06/20) they will be celebrating 10 years of service in the Dudley area, supporting thousands of people and families over this time.
They would also like to thank each of you, members of the DUdley & Netherton Circuit for your contributions over the past several years and particularly in the last 10 weks or so. On average we are donating 140KG of food per week which is an astonishing amount. Though it is wonderful we are able to support in such a way, it saddens me that in 2020 the need is still so high. Though Refresh and all other Food Banks do as much as they can, there are still people going without on a daily basis.
Please do continue helping in whatever way you can, whether it be an extra tin or two whilst shopping, a monetary donation or donating online. Thank you once again for your continued support.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
